Sable

A co-author that has read everything you’ve written.

Sable understands your full corpus of documents - drafts, briefs, research, prior work - and writes with your voice. Not a generic AI voice trained on the internet. Your voice, learned from everything you have written, maintained across every new document. The corpus is indexed locally on your Mac. Nothing is uploaded.

The Problem

Generic AI tools produce generic writing. And editing it back to your voice costs more time than writing it yourself.

Generic AI writing tools produce generic writing. They don't know your voice, your prior work, your preferred framing, your institutional knowledge, or the arguments you've already made in a dozen earlier documents. Every session starts cold. The tool has no context for who you are, what you've written, or what you're trying to accomplish beyond the single sentence you typed into a prompt box.

The result is output that sounds like the internet average. Competent, neutral, lifeless. When professionals use generic AI tools for serious writing, they spend more time editing the output back toward their voice than they would have spent writing it in the first place. The claimed efficiency doesn't materialize because the AI doesn't know you - and you spend the difference teaching it, session by session, in a context window that resets every time.

This is a solvable problem. It requires an AI that has read everything you've written - not as training data for a model shared with millions of other users, but as a private corpus specific to you, held locally, used exclusively to understand and reproduce your style, voice, and knowledge base.

What Sable Does

Your library, indexed. Your voice, modeled. Your work, continued.

Sable begins by indexing your existing documents - everything in your library that you choose to include. It builds a private model of your writing from that corpus. Then it uses that model as the context for every new document, every continuation, every rewrite.

Corpus Awareness
Indexes your documents, drafts, briefs, and research - everything in your library. Sable does not have a fixed context window limited to whatever you paste in. It has access to your full corpus at all times and surfaces relevant prior work automatically when you begin a new document or ask a question about an existing one.
Voice Matching
Learns your prose style from your existing writing - sentence rhythm, vocabulary choices, structural preferences, argumentative patterns - and maintains that voice across new work. The matching improves as more of your writing is indexed. After a month of use, Sable's output is indistinguishable from your own. After six months, it anticipates.
Document Intelligence
Answers questions about your own documents, surfaces relevant prior work when you start writing on a topic, identifies inconsistencies across a body of documents, and flags when new work contradicts or repeats something you've already written. For professionals managing large document libraries - legal, policy, research - this alone is worth the price of admission.
Co-Authoring
Drafts sections, rewrites for tone, continues from where you stopped - but in your voice, not a generic AI voice. When Sable drafts a paragraph, you do not need to edit it to sound like you. It already sounds like you. That is the difference between a tool that assists and a tool that collaborates.

Privacy

Your documents are yours. They stay on your Mac.

Corpus processing happens locally. Your documents are indexed on-device using on-device ML models running on Apple Silicon. Nothing is uploaded to Sable's servers. No document content leaves your machine. This is not a toggle you need to find in settings - it is the architecture. Sable was designed from the start to do all corpus indexing and voice modeling on your device. Your writing is private by default, in the strongest technical sense of that word. Read our privacy policy for complete details.

3.2x
Output Speed
Average productivity increase measured across Sable's user base on long-form professional writing tasks - briefs, reports, strategy documents, research summaries. The gain is largest for experienced writers who have a substantial corpus for Sable to learn from, and where maintaining a consistent voice across long documents is otherwise costly.

Active Users
Writers, lawyers, policy analysts, researchers, and executives using Sable on their primary Mac. Active means opened and used in the last 30 days - not installed and forgotten. Retention is high because Sable compounds: the longer you use it, the better it knows your voice, and the more valuable it becomes.
#1
Productivity, Mac
Ranked #1 in Productivity on the Mac App Store. The ranking reflects the product, not a marketing effort - Sable has never run a paid acquisition campaign. Users find it through App Store search, professional recommendations, and the kind of reviews that describe a specific, meaningful change in how they work.

Writing in your voice shouldn’t require teaching every tool from scratch, every session.
